Kost is built so that your finances stay yours. It has no account to create and no server to talk to, and it collects nothing about you.

What Kost stores, and where

Everything you enter — accounts, transactions, budgets, subscriptions, templates and imported statements — is stored locally on your device. It stays on your Mac or iPhone and is included in your own device or iCloud device backups, the same as any other app's data.

What we collect

Nothing. Kost contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising and no third-party tracking SDKs. We do not receive your transactions, balances, or usage.

Bank statement imports

When you import a CSV, the file is read on your device to create transactions. It is never uploaded anywhere. You choose the file each time; Kost does not browse your disk on its own.

No account, no sign-in

Kost never asks for a name, email or password, and there is nothing to log in to.

Children

Kost is a general-purpose finance tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above will change with it. Material changes will be noted on this page.
